Overview
The Perfect Imperfection collection, designed by Belgian artist Roos Van de Velde for Serax, was first launched in 2009. The artist was inspired by nature and innovated by giving the imperfections and the flaws occuring during the production a reason to exist and to become part of the design itself.
Serax Philosophy is to look for beauty everyday, “to bring the good things that make life worth living, the things that create a home that inspires happiness”, to offer products that have soul. Every collection is crafted traditionally.

Roos Van de Velde is a visual artist who is inspired by nature. Nature is the thread that runs through all of her designs with a recurring and strong underlying presence. The china service designed for Belgian brand SERAX stands for creative innovation, where the imperfections and the flaws occuring during the production process are given a reason to exist and become part of the design itself. Roos Van de velde graduated from the Royal Academy of Arts of Antwerp.
