SHIPPING POLICY

We currently ship exclusively to addresses within the continental US.

NON-BULKY PRODUCTS:

For non-furniture, non-bulky items, for a limited time we offer Free Shipping on orders over $200, and charge $15 on orders $200 or under. When a product is in stock, we ship within 2 to 6 business days. We use International Express Delivery for products imported from Europe, Express Delivery for fragile or high-value products delivered from the US and Standard Delivery for all other products.

BULKY PRODUCTS:

Customers are responsible for determining if a piece of furniture or lighting is the right size for their home (including determining if the packages constituting their order can be delivered through the doors, elevators, stairs and corridors to their room of choice). Design Quarters will not refund orders that are refused by customers due to size/dimensions.  For furniture and bulky (or very fragile) items, the shipping charge will be assessed by product and calculated at checkout based on the selected or available shipping method. The following rates apply:

Shipping Methods vary by product. They are indicated on each individual product by following the Shipping Method link of the product description page of the website. If multiple Shipping Methods are available, customers will be asked to select one at checkout. The service for each Shipping Method is as follows:

Standard Delivery: The product is shipping via Fedex Appointment Home Delivery® Service in 1 to 5 business days depending on the location, Tuesday-Saturday. Customers will be contacted by phone by Fedex to schedule a delivery date. The package is delivered at your doorstep. Signature is required.

Express Delivery: The product is delivered via Fedex 2day® in 2 business days by 8pm, Monday-Friday. Direct Signature is required. The package is delivered at your doorstep. Full Order tracking is available. Up to three delivery attempts or pick-up at the closest Fedex office.

Home Delivery: When the product is ready to be shipped, the delivery company will contact you by phone or email to schedule an appointment within 5 to 10 business days. This service includes delivery to the first threshold of your home: inside you entryway or garage (individual houses) or building lobby (apartment buildings). If you live in an apartment building, this service does not cover delivery to your unit. Signature is required. The delivery company will not move the item to your room of choice, nor remove any packaging. If you require these options, you should consider upgrading to White Glove Home Delivery.

White Glove Delivery: Once the product is ready to be shipped, the delivery company will contact you by phone or email to schedule an appointment within 10 business days. This premium service provides in-home, room-of-choice delivery. Packaging removal is included. Assembly is not included. Signature is required. 

International Express Delivery: The product is imported from Europe and delivered via Fedex International Priority® or UPS Worldwide Express® in 1 to 3 business days depending on the location in the US. The product is delivered at your doorstep. Signature is required. Full Order tracking is available. Up to three delivery attempts or pick-up at the closest Fedex/UPS office.

International Home Delivery: The product is imported from Europe. Once the delivery company receives the product in the US, you will be contacted by phone or email to schedule an appointment within 5 to 10 business days. This service includes delivery to the first threshold of your home: inside you entryway or garage (individual houses) or building lobby (apartment buildings). Unfortunately, at this time we are not able to arrange complex deliveries (requiring cranes or window removal).

 

BACKORDER POLICY

We allow customers to pre-order into “backordered” inventory for products that are currently out of stock, but with expected replenishment in the next 30 days. You may purchase these products in advance using our standard checkout process, and your order will ship within the dates listed at check-out. Please be aware there is some risk that the ship date of backordered products will change. If a product does not ship within the expected ship date range quoted on your order, we will inform you by email.

 

MADE TO ORDER POLICY

We offer a large range of made to order products. Lead times are longer (up to 20 weeks) and indicated on the product detail page and at check-out.

CANCELLATION POLICY

We will accept cancellation of your order for items that have not shipped or that are on backorder. Once an item has shipped, cancellation is not possible. Custom and special order items can be cancelled within 24 hours only.
