The Black on White Manuscript rug collection, displaying a page of a novel by Joaquim Ruiz Millet, was created by Joaquim Ruiz Millet for Nanimarquina. This modern innovative rug is hand tufted out of pure New Zealand wool, placing traditional craftsmanship and innovative design in one product. In 1991, Joaquim Ruiz Millet began to write a novel that he would finish 10 years later. During this 10-year gestation period, a page of the unpublished manuscript gave birth to a series of objects, such as the Manuscript rug, with spindly characters that transmutes the work from hands to the feet. The original becomes the abstract… The Manuscript rug, sure to be a conversation starter, will add something special and unique to any space.

The Black on White Manuscript rug collection, is available in a Black and White pattern that comes in four standard sizes (Medium, Large, XL, XXL) and a runner. These high-quality rugs are entirely handcrafted, which may result in slight variances in size. These rugs are hand-dyed and color tones may vary a little. Prolonged exposure to sunlight may alter rug color tone and may even cause discoloring. Shading or pooling effects may appear on cut-pile rugs. Depending on pile direction and the way the light strikes it, color depth and luminosity may appear to vary. Some rugs are woven from natural yarns made up of several different strands of fibers twisted together. In cut-pile rugs, these yarns may shed loose fibers when in use. Vacuuming your rug regularly will remove the fluff formed by these fibers. After vacuuming, loose fibers may appear in cut-pile rugs, trimming these with a pair of scissors is recommended.
