The Melampo Floor Lamp by Adrien Gardère for Artemide is a lamp reminiscent of the timeless go-to lamp shape. Composed of a zamac base, a matte finish, and a satin polycarbonate lampshade, Melampo transcends time, a beautiful addition to any modern environment with its design at a crossroad of classic and modern lighting. Melampo’s functionality lies in its adaptable and flexible form. Its shade allows a beautiful metamorphosis into three positions to meet the need of any light direction or focus: straight downward light, slanted downward light, or upward light. A silk satin fabric shade connected to a painted white zamac base via a painted aluminum stem, Melampo is a fixture capable of complementing solid or patterned backgrounds, with a Gray or Bronze satin shade.

Adrien Gardère

Born in France in 1972, Adrien Gardère creates relevant and innately understandable objects and spaces. Trained as an architect, he works to logically adapt cultural reference points in contemporary mediums whether they be furniture, wall coverings or museum installations. Since 2004, Gardère has served as Artistic Director for visual arts exhibitions held alongside The Kennedy Center’s “World Stages” international live performance programming.
