Overview

The Troupe Rug, by Spanish artist Jaime Hayón for nanimarquina, speaks of friends, children, free-spiritedness and spontaneity. Crazy, dreamlike and with a sense of humor, resembling a party: such is Jaime Hayón 's new collection. Animals of different kinds and sizes float in space, strangers to boredom. The artist's imaginary universe is showcased to perfection in this medium.

Troupe is a hand-tufted rug, enabling Jaime Hayón's work to be transferred literally, and it is the closest thing to reproducing his artwork if it were a drawing on a blank canvas. It is a contemporary piece that nevertheless preserves and brings to life a cultural legacy, as well as having the unique stamp of the craftspeople who make it.

nanimarquina was founded in 1987 by Nani Marquina and has been dedicated to innovation and quality ever since, blending contemporary design and traditional craftsmanship techniques.
