Overview
The Milton Glaser African Pattern rug collection was created by the acclaimed American graphic designer Milton Glaser of Milton Glaser Inc. for Spanish brand nanimarquina. It is the result of the encounter between the graphic world of Milton Glaser, Africa and traditional rugs craftsmanship. These luxury pile rugs are hand tufted out of pure New Zealand wool.
The Milton Glaser African Pattern rugs are available in three options (Pattern 1, Pattern 2, Pattern 3) and in four sizes (Medium, Large, XL and XXL). These high-quality rugs are entirely handcrafted, which may result in slight variances in size. These rugs are hand-dyed and color tones may vary a little. Prolonged exposure to sunlight may alter rug color tone and may even cause discoloring. Shading or pooling effects may appear on cut-pile rugs. Depending on pile direction and the way the light strikes it, color depth and luminosity may appear to vary. Some of our rugs are woven from natural yarns made up of several different strands of fibers twisted together. In cut-pile rugs, these yarns may shed loose fibers when in use. Vacuuming your rug regularly will remove the fluff formed by these fibers. After vacuuming, loose fibers may appear in cut-pile rugs, trimming these with a pair of scissors is recommended.

Milton Glaser
Milton Glaser (born in1929) is among the most celebrated graphic designers in the United States. He has had the distinction of one-man-shows at the Museum of Modern Art and the Georges Pompidou Center. He was selected for the lifetime achievement award of the Cooper Hewitt National Design Museum (2004) and the Fulbright Association (2011), and in 2009 he was the first graphic designer to receive the National Medal of the Arts award. As a Fulbright scholar, Glaser studied with the painter, Giorgio Morandi in Bologna, and is an articulate spokesman for the ethical practice of design. He opened Milton Glaser, Inc. in 1974, and continues to produce a prolific amount of work in many fields of design to this day.
