Polia Shape Rug, Winter

by Florence Bourel

In Stock

The Polia Rug collection by Florence Bourel for TOULEMONDE BOCHART is inspired by the work of the master of abstract composition, Serge Poliakoff. It moves the eye around in an artful design guided by freedom of composition, form, and color. Bourel's French and African heritage informs her lively style. Polia's design is Bourel's interpretation of the visual language created by the masters of abstract painting. Inside an irregular oval outline, graphic shapes balance each other in scale and color. The curves, sharp points, and straight edges slot into each other with a sense of harmony that translates to the feeling of a room. Its hand-tufted wool construction complements the visual feel of the design with a soft physical feel.

French brand TOULEMONDE BOCHART has become synonymous with fine handwoven rugs over the last 40 years.
