Overview

The Aleta Chair by Jaime Hayon for Spanish brand Viccarbe has a welcoming and comforting design, thought for collaborative workspaces, public spaces, restaurants, and private use. Inspired by the physiognomy and movement of sharks, Jaime Hayon has created the Aleta collection for Viccarbe in 2017. "ALETA" in Spanish means “fin”. The subtle details in the structure of the legs and the continuous movement towards its backrest reflects the personality and character of Jaime Hayon. An elegant chair which supports the user, adding character to any room.

Aleta is available in multiple upholstery finishes, with or without armrests, as a chair, counter stool, bar stool, or lounge chair. The base can be in metal, fixed or various swivel shapes, with or without casters, or a wood base expanding its possibilities.

Viccarbe manufactures contemporary furniture created by the most prestigious international designers. Diversity is a core value of the company's artistic choices, translating into multifaceted, warm and timeless designs. Viccarbe is located in Valencia, Spain, where the exceptional sunlight bears a great influence on the expression of colors, the warmth of materials and the attention to detail which characterize the Viccarbe aesthetics. Sustainability is at the core of Viccarbe's approach: high quality long lasting furniture that can be repaired, use of FSC or PEFC certified wood and/or 100% recyclable polypropylene, local sourcing of materials preferred, no use of aerosols or contaminated metallic materials.
