Overview

Over the course of more than 430 years, Saint-Louis has accumulated 6,000 moulds, in which molten crystal is blown by master glassworkers in order to get the correct shape. This priceless legacy was the inspiration source of Kiki Van Eijk. She gave every object in the Matrice collection the unique shape of a mould, adorning each one with the handcut elements (diamonds, or bevels) that are the signature style of Saint-Louis Crystal. The unique aesthetic of this collection pertakes to the story of its own manufacturing process. The Matrice collection asserts itself in the world of contemporary decoration with its exquisite Matrice Vases.

Saint-Louis Crystal vibrates with all the talent inherited from History and an extraordinary creativity inspired by current trends. Founded in Eastern France in 1586, Saint-Louis Crystal is the oldest crystal manufacturer in Europe. In the 18th century, they were purveyors to French kings and gained popularity among the rising French population that demanded high quality glassware. Today, Saint-Louis Crystal still creates products that exude understated elegance and modern sensibility.
