Overview
Noé Duchaufour-Lawrance designed the Folia collection for Saint-Louis in 2017. Inspired by the forest and nature surrounding the manufacture of Saint-Louis in Moselle, France, the Folia collection combines the radiance of crystal with the strength of ash wood. The collection encompasses twenty-five pieces of tableware, decoration, lighting and furniture: a contemporary vision of nature. The Folia Table Lamp has pure and clean lines illuminated by a gorgeous multifaceted crystal globe. This luxurious lamp with its innovative design will be centerpiece of the room.
Saint-Louis is the oldest glass manufacturer in France, with roots dating back to the XVIth century. Since 1829 the manufacture has been exclusively devoted to the production of crystal-glass items, every day crystal creations crafted by master glassblowers and cutters considered to be among the very best in France. All possess irreplaceable knowledge and ancestral skills: crystal is mouthblown, hand-cut, hand-engraved and hand-decorated using 24-carat gold or platinum. Saint-Louis blends tradition and innovation and never ceases to draw inspiration from contemporary artistic trends in order to renew and shape its identity. In the wave of creativity that swept through the early 20th century, between Art Nouveau and Art Deco, external designers brought their talents to bear at Saint-Louis. Today, Saint-Louis Crystal still creates products that exude understated elegance and modern sensibility.

Designer
Noé Duchaufour-Lawrance
Noé Duchaufour-Lawrance is a multidisciplinary French designer born in 1974. He studied at the Ecole Nationale des Arts Decoratifs and at the Ecole Nationale Superieure des Arts Appliques between 1992 and 1997. Known for his approach focused on experimenting new materials and manufacturing techniques, his prolific career has lead him to collaborate with prestigious brands including Montblanc, Hermes, Baccarat. In 2017, he created the Folia Collection for crystal manufacturer Saint-Louis. In this first cross-disciplinary collection, the designer expresses the vibrant alliance of crystal and wood, simple lines and modern usages.
