Overview

The Globe Lamp was designed by Joe Colombo for Oluce in 1964. Its pure geometries co-exist in a constant balance between shape and functionality: the transparent blown-glass sphere contains the cylindrical metal reflector that projects its timeless light into space. The Globe family of lamps comes in two finishes, satin nickel or anodic bronze and now includes a table, wall and pendant version, with the pendant version available in two sizes.

Oluce is the oldest Italian design company in the lighting sector still in operation today. Oluce lighting’s design aesthetic is crisp, linear, and decorative. A subtle, intellectual beauty that over the years has led the company to produce some of the more recognizable and admired iconic lighting in the world. Its lamps appear in the most important permanent design collections worldwide.
