Overview

The Copenhagen Pendant by Space Copenhagen for &Tradition is an exercise in contrasts. It combines the classic and the modern, the maritime and the industrial. The collection in matte lacquered metal exists in 3 sizes. The shade is spun into shape from a single piece
of metal. The suspension is made from milled and laser cut steel which undergoes a special plating process to produce the desired matte black or white finish.

&Tradition is a Danish design company that marries tradition with innovation. Lighting spans designs from the 1920s to the present day and includes interior objects by internationally acclaimed designers that stand the test of time.

Space Copenhagen

Established in 2005 by Signe Bindslev Henriksen and Peter Bundgaard Rützou, Space Copenhagen is a design studio working across multiple disciplines from furniture, lighting and refined objects, to art installations, art direction and interior design for private homes, hotels and restaurants all over the world. The ambition is to forge new paths by balancing opposites — classic and modern, industrial and organic, sculptural and minimal, light and shade. Duality and contrast. Curiosity as a fundamental human condition. The studio’s intuitive approach creates designs that are distinctively shaped by the given circumstances, functional needs, and a fundamental interest in human behavior. It is a sense of belief in slow aesthetic that centers quality and longevity.
