Overview
Block is a lounge armchair inspired by the Brutalist architectural movement. Two massive blocks of walnut structure the armrests and give the armchair its singular silhouette. This geometric identity is balanced by the lightness and comfort of the seat, with a choice of high-end upholsteries.

Designer
Jonas Lutz
Finnish-born designer Jonas Lutz creates objects of bold simplicity which are inviting to the touch. The foundation of his form language lies in a deep understanding of the inherent qualities of materials and process. Elegant solutions are visible in the way that parts intersect to form a unity, projecting both subtlety and strength. Jonas finds inspiration in Nordic furniture traditions as well as in the lively design culture of his adopted country of the Netherlands. Jonas Lutz studio is located in Rotterdam the Netherlands and he has studied at the Carl Malmsten furniture school in Stockholm, Sweden and has a bachelor in design from the Design Academy in Eindhoven, the Netherlands.
