Overview

The Rocky Side Table is a sculptural piece of furniture designed by Charles Kalpakian for French design House La Chance. It can be used as a side table, but will also accommodate books and objects to become a small credenza, a small bookshelf or a bedstand. French-Lebanese designer Charles Kalpakian plays with our perception of space and volume with an object that will morph into a different shape depending on the angle. The Rocky Side Table is made by a master artisan who bends and wields sheets of steel together. The result is a seemingly monolithic yet light sculpture that is patiently polished before receiving its signature textured epoxy lacquer. The abstract shape of the Rocky Side Table makes it an eye-catching piece in any room.

La Chance offers a contemporary take on the French ornamental and decorative tradition rooted in the Art Deco period. The creations of La Chance share a sophisticated, rich and singular approach to design, using only noble materials. La Chance works with highly qualified artisans demonstrating superior craftsmanship. Through the use of long lasting materials and traditional technics, La Chance is producing sustainable furniture. Wood is sourced from sustainable FSC approved forests and restricted to European species.
