The ALTAY Table was created by internationally acclaimed Spanish designer Patricia Urquiola for COEDITION. It is part of the ALTAY collection, which also includes dining chairs, a sofa, a side table and the iconic ALTAY armchair, which was recently featured in the exhibition "Patricia Urquiola Between Craft and Industry" at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. The design of the ALTAY collection is representative of Patricia Urquiola's inventive and playful approach to design and of her ability to fuse craft and technology to create products with a soul. The ALTAY Table will find its place in living rooms, reception areas or public spaces.

COEDITION is curating a collection of modern and creative French furniture from internationally acclaimed designers, with a focus on quality and know-how. The collections are made in Italy in state of the art factories. They are the result of exhaustive research, meticulous and diligent development and technical innovations. The products all share the characteristics of effortless sophistication. They are suitable for residential and commercial projects. Notable examples include the New Eiffel Tower chair designed for the Gustave Eiffel Pavilion and the Scala collection designed for the Rivea restaurant by Alain Ducasse in Las Vegas.

Born in Oviedo, Spain, in 1961, Ms Urquiola attended the School of Architecture at Madrid’s Polytechnic and Milan Polytechnic, where she graduated in 1989 with Achille Castiglioni as her thesis supervisor, and then served as his assistant lecturer at Milan’s Polytechnic University. She then became responsible for the new product development office at De Padova. Later, she worked with Vico Magistretti as head of design at Lissoni Associati. In 2001, she opened her own design studio. She designs for the most important Italian and international companies. A number of her works are on display in various museums and permanent collections, including the MoMA in New York and the Museo della Triennale in Milan. She has won several international prizes, including Gold Medal of Fine Arts awarded by the Spanish government. She was named “Designer of the decade” by the German magazines “Home” and “Hauser” and “Designer of the year” by Wallpaper, Ad Spain, Elle Decor International, Archtektur und Wohnen Magazine.
