Italian architect-designer Marco Zanuso, Jr. was born in Milan in 1954. He studied architecture at Florence University of the Arts, graduating in 1978. His thesis focused on radical architecture, including work from Superstudio, Michele De Lucchi, Ettore Sottsass. He then worked with his uncle, Marco Zanuso, and with Enzo Mari and Achille Castiglioni. He founded his studio in Milan in 1990 with Daniel Nava, focusing on product design, residential building architecture, residential and commercial interior design and exhibition projects. He describes his philosophy: “I think that a project is complete when it radiates harmony; and this feature must last, or even grow, over time.” He has collaborated with international brands such as Memphis, Driade, Bonacina, Fontana Arte, Cappellini and De Padova. He has also developed projects with small producers and craftsmen.
