Overview

The Co Chair is a new addition by Danish brand Audo Copenhagen, designed by Norm Architect and conceived in collaboration with The Office Group. This multifunctional chair adapts to a wide range of needs and interior styles. It addresses the space and design challenges shared by spaces both private and public, making it as appealing in homes as in shared areas like conferences, boardrooms, and touch-down coworking lounges. Drawing on The Office Group’s extensive knowledge of workplace needs, the Co Chair pairs a lightweight, sleek profile with great seating comfort – and the option to stack up to 10 to 15 chairs in a compact tower. Aesthetically, the design’s contoured form and warm materials bring Norm Architects’ signature, human-centred minimalism.

The chair is distinguished by a wide veneer back, whose proportions allow freedom of movement and provide maximum comfort. Comfort also led the design of the backrest, which is positioned and angled for exceptional support. The Co Chair’s slender yet robust powdercoated steel frame defines the intriguing geometric silhouette – and delivers high durability. The Co Chair is produced in Sweden by experienced craftspeople. The Co Chair is crafted with a black powder coated steel frame, while the seat, backrest and armrests are made from form-pressed veneer. The oak veneer is available in three finishes: Natural Oak, Dark Stained Oak and Black Oak.

Audo Copenhagen is a Danish brand dedicated to producing high quality designer furniture, lighting and accessories with a modern, crisp, Scandinavian look.

Norm Architects

Norm Architects is a multidisciplinary studio focusing on residential architecture, commercial interiors and industrial design. Norm Architects was founded in 2008 by Jonas Bjerre-Poulsen and Kasper Rønn, later joined by Linda Korndal. The essence of Norm Architects’ work is found in the balance between richness and restraint, order and complexity. A simplicity that carries bigger ideas. Guided by the body and mind rather than by trends or technology, Norm Architects’ projects explore ideas that not only look good but that also feel good. Architecture becomes thoughtful, minimalism acquires softness and visual matter assumes haptic qualities. Their work is sharp and crisp and reflects their focus on quality, details, and durability. Situated on one of the oldest streets in Copenhagen, Denmark, they build on the traditions of Scandinavian design of timeless aesthetics, natural materials and upholding Modernist principles of restraint and refinement.
