The Yanzi Series of lamps by Neri&Hu for Artemide "pays homage to both the urban and the natural, the rigid and the organic" (Lyndon Neri-Rossana Hu). In a blend of tradition and innovation, Yanzi is a lightweight composition of balanced structures, with handblown glass spheres and brass elements that perch on aluminum branches. The inspiration for Yanzi came from the image of birds perching on scaffolding. The light source resembles a bird with a brass body and glass head. Neri&Hu focused on the interaction of material, shape, and light in its design.The figures are shaped like iconic swallows with a brushed brass body, with their head like a white glass sphere enclosing light, either flying free or contained in glass cages. There is unique sensibility in matching warm and cold, essential yet refined materials. Yanzi’s clean lines and elegant materials add a chic and modern design, with a playful edge, to any space. Yanzi collection is available in floor, table and suspension versions.
