Overview

Float is a sculptural coffee table designed by Luca Nichetto for French design brand La Chance. It challenges senses and perception. A massive metal cone apparently floats above a mirror polished steel base. The geometrical design is softened by refined details such as the curved lip edge on the tabletop. Each table is the result of advanced craftsmanship: the upper cone of spun metal is made in a workshop where clock tower dials have been turned for over a century; the painting process is similar to the one used for collector cars to obtain a perfectly deep laquered finish.

La Chance offers a contemporary take on the French ornamental and decorative tradition rooted in the Art Deco period. The creations of La Chance share a sophisticated, rich and singular approach to design, using only noble materials. La Chance works with highly qualified artisans demonstrating superior craftsmanship. Through the use of long lasting materials and traditional technics, La Chance is producing sustainable furniture. Wood is sourced from sustainable FSC approved forests and restricted to European species.
