Overview

Swan is a dimmable LED wall lamp designed by Bernhard Osann for NEMO Lighting. Its purpose is direct lighting. It consists of an aluminium matte black painted structure. Its arm rotates 40° vertically, contained by a leathered counterbalance, and 180° horizontally. Its directable cylindric head allows to flexibly orientate the light beam, with optional honeycomb filter for anti glare. “I am fascinated by kinetic objects and thus searched for a new way to get a wall lamp moving.” comments the designer.

Nemo offers a unique collection of lights by world-renowned designers of the 20th century (Le Corbusier, Mario Bellini, etc...) as well as today’s designers, determined to explore all the possibilities offered by the latest innovations of their own time.

Bernhard Osann runs his design studio in Hamburg, where he designs primarily lights and furniture. He graduated from the University of Fine Arts in Hamburg. Before Bernhard Osann became a designer, he completed an apprenticeship as a joiner and attended a school for sculpture, which has influenced his basic principles of design. He plays with physical laws and geometrical shapes to find new unconventional solutions to simplify objects. The results are minimalistic dynamic constructions that move, invite you to be moved and interact with space.
