The New Eiffel Tower Chair was designed by French architect and designer Alain Moatti for COEDITION. It was originally commissioned for the Gustave Eiffel Pavilion of the Eiffel Tower in Paris. The design echoes the iconic Eiffel Tower. This industrial design chair is stackable. It is made of cast aluminum and can be used indoor or outdoor (except for the red version). It will be an eye-catching piece in contemporary homes or public spaces.

Designer

Alain Moatti
Alain Moatti

Alain Moatti is an architect and a designer with an extensive experience in commercial and residential projects. He is also known for his work in stage and museum/exhibition design. After graduating from the Paris-Villemin School of Architecture in 1985, he collaborated with several architecture agencies in Paris. In 2001, he met Henri Rivière (1965-2010) with whom he created the Moatti – Rivière studio the following year. In 2004 the duo is selected to undertake the restoration and transformation of a 19th-century building in Paris for the French Haute Couture house Jean-Paul Gaultier. Multiple prestigious projects follow, including the renovation of the first floor of the Eiffel Tower, completed in 2014, for which he designed the New Eiffel Tower Chair. Inspired by the work of Gustave Eiffel, this chair is the first authorized to bear the name of Eiffel Tower. Alain Moatti joined the French Academy of Architecture in 2012.
